The Riley Green Story

Alabama roots. Nashville grit. A voice built for backroads and redlights.

Where It Started

Jacksonville, Alabama

Riley Green grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama, raised on hunting trips with his grandfather, Friday night football, and the kind of small-town values that would later define his music. Before he ever picked up a guitar professionally, Riley played quarterback — first in high school, then at Jacksonville State University, where his competitive streak and love of storytelling both took shape.

Music had always been in the background, but it wasn't long before it moved to the front. Riley began writing songs that sounded like they'd been lived first and written second — plainspoken, detail-rich, and unmistakably Southern.
